Morning Devo

Even when I walk through the darkest valley, I will not be afraid, for you are close beside me. Your rod and your staff protect and comfort me.  (NLT) ( Psalm 23:4 )

Are you nurturing a relationship with Jesus that will stay with you until the end of days? Even when you have forgotten names, dates, and familiar faces, will your faith be strong enough to still know you are a child of God? No one looks forward to that season of life with anticipation, but isn't it comforting to know we don't walk alone. Make a relationship with God a priority each and every day. He will provide protection and comfort.

Morning Devo #prayer

And the Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness. For example, we don't know what God wants us to pray for. But the Holy Spirit prays for us with groaning's that cannot be expressed in words. (NLT) ( Romans 8:26 )

Don't know how to pray or unsure of what to say? Don't worry, just spend time with God and count on the Holy Spirit to pray on your behalf. Talking with God is an important part of a growing spiritual life. Do you forget to pray regularly? Share your thoughts with God while you do a daily habit such as brushing your teeth. This will help jump start your prayer life. Or write down your prayers in a journal to detail out your thoughts.

Morning Devo#confession

Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results. (NLT) ( James 5:16 )

Thinking about confession can bring up emotions prompting you to run away. Try to overcome them. Confession is an uncomfortable action, but is important to the path of healing. When we hide our sins, it only makes things worse. Instead, bring them into the light by sharing your sins. Start today.
Everyone have a fabulous Friday!!

Morning Devo#

"I tell you the truth, anyone who doesn't receive the Kingdom of God like a child will never enter it." (NLT) ( Mark 10:15 )

Children have a unique ability to accept things at face value.  They place a great amount of faith in what they are told.  As adults, it gets more difficult to blindly place our faith in the Kingdom of God.  The Lord is trustworthy, He will not fail you.  Dig deep inside to your inner child and step out in faith.  Looking through the lens of your younger self, what can you trust God with today?

Morning Devo#

And so he did only a few miracles there because of their unbelief. (NLT) ( Matthew 13:58 )

Don't wait for miracles to happen to jump start your faith. It starts with just the slightest itch for a greater purpose in life.  Don't let the Creator of your life pass by because of your unbelief.  Have a hard time believing, but want to believe?  It's okay.  Make a step in the right direction - listen to a Christian radio station, check out a sermon online, read an inspiring faith based book.

Daily Devo #

Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. (NLT) ( Matthew 28:19 )

Have you ever been a part of teaching someone about Jesus Christ? When you open someone's eyes to the message of Jesus dying on the cross for our sins, it is a momentous occasion. Just think how this person's life will be changed. Picture it now, the potential for all they can accomplish and the growth they will encounter through God. Impacting a life makes a mark on eternity. Are you making a difference?

Morning Devo#

Fools have no interest in understanding; they only want to air their own opinions. (NLT) ( Proverbs 18:2 )

Opinions are as numerous as raindrops in a hurricane. They shower down on you from out of the sky and are offered up for anyone to hear. Often times though, opinions are too quickly spoken and rarely does the person offering their viewpoint seek to the heart of the matter. It would be wise to follow this piece of advice, seek to understand.

Morning Devo #temptation

The temptations in your life are no different from what others experience. And God is faithful. He will not allow the temptation to be more than you can stand. When you are tempted, he will show you a way out so that you can endure. (NLT) ( 1 Corinthians 10:13 )

Temptations can range from seemingly harmless distractions to life threatening addictions and everything in between. Where does yours fit in? The irony is that this one thing that is so personal to you is a struggle for many others too. Remember that you are not alone in many ways. Trust in God and lean on Him for the strength to overcome them each day. Only He can make you stronger than you think.

Morning Devo#selfcontrol

"You will be accepted if you do what is right. But if you refuse to do what is right, then watch out! Sin is crouching at the door, eager to control you. But you must subdue it and be its master." (NLT) ( Genesis 4:7 )

In this verse God is warning Cain, the son of Adam and Eve, about the danger of sin. God characterized sin as something that can be tamed but with deliberate focus. Self-control is a muscle that needs to be exercised and with practice it gets easier and easier to do. What can you do to strengthen your self-control muscle?

Morning devo#

Do not stay so far from me, for trouble is near, and no one else can help me. (NLT) ( Psalm 22:11 )

When you know you are entering an intense period which challenges your strength, remember to invite your Heavenly Father to walk with you. Who better to walk with you? He is always there to listen, He will bring you blessings when they are most needed, and He has the power to change not only your attitude but others' as well.

Morning Devo#

And don't grumble as some of them did, and then were destroyed by the angel of death. (NLT) ( 1 Corinthians 10:10 )

Complaining is contagious and can destroy the start of a beautiful day. As we return to work after a vacation, there's a tendency to complain when our mind has yet to accept our return back to work. It's an effortless state to be in; however, we have a choice to think differently. Honor God. Think positive. Maybe this feeling is a message for us to make some adjustments to bring passion and purpose back into your lives.

Morning devotional

Take care of any widow who has no one else to care for her. (NLT) ( 1 Timothy 5:3 )

Believe it or not, God has left instructions for us to take care of one another. One group of people we need to look out for are widows. We as the body of Christ need to extend ourselves to those who find themselves as widows. Anyone who protects and cares for widows will truly be blessed by God. Do you know of anyone God has placed in your life who is a widower for you to look after?

Morning Devo#

Believe me when I say that I am in the Father and the Father is in me; or at least believe on the evidence of the miracles themselves. (NIV) ( John 14:11 )

Much of the work Jesus did on earth was miracles he performed. However, in present day we discount the credibility of miracles because we rely heavily on reason and logic but a large portion of believing in miracles is having faith in God. Is there an area in your life where a miracle is needed? Maybe it's in your relationships, finances or in your heart. Don't give up on believing. Miracles can and do happen but only through your faith in God.

Morning devotional

The man who says, "I know him," but does not do what he commands is a liar, and the truth is not in him. (NIV) ( 1 John 2:4 )

Having a relationship with Jesus will keep you grounded and leaning into a growing faith. A growing faith is a good sign. In a relationship, truth is spoken, conviction is felt, and confidence in God strengthens. Walk in the truth and obey God's commandments.  Was there a time in your life when you weren't living in the truth?  What were the circumstances?

Daily Devo🙏🙏

The LORD is good, a refuge in times of trouble. He cares for those who trust in him, (NIV) ( Nahum 1:7 )

Our God provides us with a shelter to protect us from life’s troubles. The question is whether we accept his protection. When you run into a wall or trip over hurdles, it’s easy to feel defeated. If you travel through life with God, He will most definitely give you strength to overcome them and peace to enjoy it.  Have you talked to God lately about the troubles you are facing?

Morning devo#

Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path. (NIV) ( Psalm 119:105 )

When you find yourself in sticky situations, it's important to arm yourself with God's word. The way it translates into real life is through memorizing scripture. You will find that the word of God comes to mind when you need it most. Go ahead and prepare yourself by choosing a verse each week to tuck into your heart.

Morning Devo##

Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect. (NIV) ( Matthew 5:48 )

We all know that we are far from perfect. Perfection doesn't have to be the end goal, but rather a path in the right direction. Are you heading in the right direction? Perfection might be to love someone who has harmed you in the past. That may be a difficult and seemingly impossible thing to do, but have you thought about simply sending them a pleasant card or gift? The important point is to strive to be more God-like by moving in the right direction.

Morning Devo#

Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go." (NIV) ( Joshua 1:9 )

There are times in life that we feel alone, and that no one else can relate. Trials come our way and sometimes there is nothing anyone can do to help the situation. Read this part again: do not be afraid or discouraged. God brings seasons in life to sharpen you for your own good. God walks WITH you THROUGH this hardship. He is with you; gain your strength from Him.

Morning Devo

Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity. (NIV) ( 1 Timothy 4:12 )

Don't be fooled into thinking that only mature, godly people can spread God's message. God works through people of all ages. The best way to spread his message is to live it so that others can learn by example. Pick one thing that honors God, such as being truthful, ethical at work, caring for those less fortunate, or loving others more than yourself. Take action on the one that's missing in your life and others will see God's work through you.

Morning Devo#

I am sending you out like sheep among wolves. Therefore be as shrewd as snakes and as innocent as doves. (NIV) ( Matthew 10:16 )

As much as we should desire to be kind and giving, sometimes it can be difficult to do so in our current culture. We want to be good but don't want to be taken advantage of. Like many things in life, this requires a delicate balance of assertiveness and servitude. If you are heavy on assertiveness, try being a bit more subservient today by allowing others to express themselves more. If you are in need of more assertiveness, try speaking up today, either by asking questions or praising someone.
