Healthy & tasty breakfast idea

My favorite breakfast is one that has spinach in it. I love spinach so much I eat it on a daily basis and In all sorts of ways. Spinach is an amazing super food. Just look it up and see all the amazing benefits you can get from it!
This morning I made one of my favorites which is a simple sandwich jam packed with nutrition.
I love oat nut bread and the benefits from it are great too. It contains 24 grams of whole grains and 4g fiber. I fry my eggs in olive oil and eggs are loaded with vitamins and proteins! I add in a slice of Swiss or mozzarella cheese and top it off with some  good ole spinach. This is also a great meal that keeps me fuller longer throughout the day !

Easy quick meal that is so good for you and tasty at the same time!

Plateaus *blog**fitness*

Although I do my daily cardio, I always feel like by adding in some strength training moves, that will not only increase calorie burn and muscle tone but that it keep the body guessing and when the body guesses, it improves. We all feel like we've hit a plateau at one point or another with fitness whether we do the same thing everyday, miss days, or completely just stop all together. We tend to feel like we don't see results so what's the point of putting in the time right?
Well just by adding a few simple moves a couple times a week, will increase your energy and burn fat to help you see results. After the Birth of my son in 2013, I started to do cardio to lose the post partum weight, but it wasn't until I started body weight exercises apart from my regular treadmill  routine, that I truly started seeing results.

Try adding these moves into your routine and start seeing results !:)

Endorphins make you happy.

Happy Friday Folks. Half way to Christmas now boy is December sure flying by. before we know it, it'll be that time to celebrate a new year which means new resolutions. What always seems to be at the top of everyone's list? Of course to lose weight. I know it's always on mine. A way to start fresh and really get a jump start to get motivated to finish a goal you have set for yourself.
I'm proud of myself to say I have stuck and maintained my fitness goals I had set for myself this time last year as I had given birth to my son in October 2013.
Although I'm happy with how I am, I have slacked off the last couple weeks and not done my cardio and haven't eaten the best. I beat myself up when I go through these moments of defeat and I get myself down. "Well January is coming soon, I'll just wait to start then." But then I woke up and said no. not letting a pitfall get me down. I made myself get the energy to get on the treadmill and back on my grind. And glad I did. I ran 3 miles in 30 minutes and it felt good. It is true what they say " endorphins make you happy". So ok that was just in a movie but it is true. When I was finished. Instant good mood lol. So weird but now I am feeling great and ready to take ok the rest of my day! So here to say it's never too late to start right away. Pick up where you left off. However if you want to wait to make that a resolution, go for it. But if your like me and down and in the slumps, muster up some energy and the rest will expel itself once you get that heart rate up! Goo for it!
Have a great weekend !

Pb banana smoothie made easy 💋

My favorite go smoothies always have PB and bananas! It's a sweet treat that makes you forget it's healthy.

For this recipe I only use a few simple ingredients. Normally I would add in soy protein powder but this time I am out so its not in this one. Also u can add a scoop of yogurt too! Completely optional

I use :
One banana
One table spoon peanut butter (I don't use organic just regular)
Almond milk original  about a cup cup and half
Ice cubes 4-5

I wanted to show you the vitamins I take too. I don't take a multivitamin as I feel I get all my nutrients in the foods I eat so I take these key vitamins for an extra energy boost among other things:)

First I add the banana then the milk. No real order here. Again how I do it lol.

Next I add in my PB

Then the ice cubes!

Blend her up til smooth!

I pour mine into my favorite mason jar drink cup. Got it from Walmart for only $7 and comes in several colors!

Enjoy! Excuse my Grammy Jammie's I just got out the shower and love my comfy Jammie's! Hehe

Sometimes I like to add spinach and mix things up by adding some sugar free chocolate syrup or coconut flakes. There are tons of ways I make smoothies but this is the quickest easiest way to enjoy a good smoothie:) have a fantastic evening.

Benefits of walking alone#

The Benefits of Walking

Walking Toward a Healthier You

There are countless physical activities out there, but walking has the lowest dropout rate of them all! It's the simplest positive change you can make to effectively improve your heart health.

Research has shown that the benefits of walking and moderate physical activity for at least 30 minutes a day can help you:

  • Reduce the risk of coronary heart disease
  • Improve blood pressure and blood sugar levels
  • Improve blood lipid profile
  • Maintain body weight and lower the risk of obesity
  • Enhance mental well being
  • Reduce the risk of osteoporosis
  • Reduce the risk of breast and colon cancer
  • Reduce the risk of non-insulin dependent (type 2) diabetes

There really are so many benefits for such a simple activity!

Sole-Mate: A Friend By Your Side

The thought of being alone can be enough to keep some people from walking. The best way to solve this is by finding a friend to walk with. You can plan walking paths that are convenient for both of you, or map out routes that take you places you've never been before. It's a great way to exercise and spend time with friends! Diet what? #blog

Ok so you instantly think hey diet means losing weight quicker, and it does! But does it stay off? No. And usually it'll come back even more so than before. Drop the idea that you think you have to starve to lose weight. Unless your getting paid millions for a big hit film and have to drop major lbs move along.
I'm not a know it all, but it doesn't take a genius to know diets usually don't have a long term effect. The real question then " what do I do?
Hate to break it to ya but no magic pill is out there and if there was LET ME KNOW! ;)

Plain and simple you look at your perception on fitness and better eating and you change it. Change your mindset into a different way of thinking about food. Hell I had Oreos yesterday and pork cracklings as snacks. But did I eat the whole bag and do I do it everyday ? No. The way I see it is if it's not there you can't eat it. I grocery shop and buy 90% healthy and 10% sweets and snacks. I like to have a few things in reach if I get that craving because we all know if we deprive ourselves of the good stuff we devour it the minute we get the chance. So feed your cravings little at a time. After I had my son I started working out slow and made it a daily habit. I made sure no matter what I did it had to atleast be 30 minutes of physical activity a day(anything). Once I did that it became easy to wake and say going to get my workout out the way. Now I stick to my two miles on my treadmill and squats with weights to stay in shape. I made a lifestyle choice and I stuck with it and although it didn't happen over night, guess what.. It happened. I wasn't trying to be super skinny and look great to show off to anyone. I was doing it for me and my own confidence and health. Start slow, change your perception, know that success doesn't happen overnight and the results will come if you stick with it!!
Love you Guys!

Evening abs

Getting in a quick ab workout before the new episode of Ink Master comes on;)

Remember results won't happen over night. It's not easy. Slip ups happen. Lack of motivation. But keep going forward and you might surprise yourself. That's what I tell myself.  💋💪💪#fitgoals#fitlife#abs#progress#striveforprogress#notperfection#healthylife#beauty#bodyimage#beyou#bestyoucan#goals#routine#eatclean#getlean#motivation#weightloss#muscles#progression#fitness#happiness#love-yourself
